Metal Treatment Station (MTS) one-step automated treatment system.

By using the MTS System (Metal Treatment Station) aluminium melts can be completely and automatically treated in one step. Whilst degassing with the proven FDU technology, all required treatment materials for cleaning, modification and grain refining can be added at pre-set levels. Similarly, it is also possible to add precise amounts of:

• treatment materials for the removal of sodium, calcium and lithium
• metallic materials such as master alloys or alloying metals
• reactive treatment materials

This way, both metallic products such as master alloys or alloying metals as well as melt treatment products which react within the melt can be added in precise doses. A range of injection grade treatment materials including cleaning fluxes, grain refiners and modifiers have been developed specifically for use with the MTS.
